​We all know Babe Ruth is talking about the great American sport of baseball in this quote, but the same could easily be said about Jeffco Public Schools. Our district is filled with so many key players: thoughtful teachers, amazing administrators and second-to-none staff members; however, unless we are all working #BetterTogether, then we aren’t meeting our potential worth. ​

When it comes to solving district-level technology problems, it truly takes a diverse team of players to make sure we are meeting the needs of our superstars: our students. Some of Ed Tech's closest team players in this work are our colleagues in IT. Every day Ed Tech and IT partner together to ensure that students are at the center of every technology-based decision.

10 Ways your Jeffco Ed tech and IT Teams are #BetterTogether 

1. Partner in developing and continuing Jeffco's 1:1 initiative to ensure equity and access to transformational learning and teaching opportunities.
2. Support schools in planning for and replacing devices and equipment as they reach end of life.
   
3. Determine which AV and device solutions best support the needs of learners at the school.
   
4. Keep student data and privacy  protected when selecting and using digital tools for instruction.
   
5. Roster students in our Jeffco Digital Tools so that students and teachers can efficiently access the tools they need.
   
6. ​Collaborate to support IT/Computer Science pathways and  industry certifications.
7. Team up to troubleshoot a variety of hardware and software issues and their impacts on the classroom.
8. Provide an instructional voice and lens on district-level IT projects.
9. Test systems and programs to ensure they are working effectively and efficiently for staff and students.
10. Work together to proactively to ensure new tools and devices will be functional and supported on our networks and in our ecosystem.
